2007 Maryland Lighthouse Challenge

I have been an Avid Photographer for 30 years but the serious photo bug didn’t bite me until the industry went digital. From that point it was all uphill! I shoot exclusively with Canon digital SLR’s and Canon L series lenses. This combination produces the best quality images possible. I process the photos in my digital darkroom utilizing the latest version of Adobe CS to offer the most refined pictures available. I print each photograph on professional grade Canon or Epson printers using the finest velvet fine art 100% cotton rag paper. This paper combined with pigment based inks will ensure decades of viewing enjoyment and satisfaction.*

The 2007 Maryland Lighthouse Challenge offered me the opportunity to present my waterborne art from a perspective that is different from your normal vision range of the lights. I wanted you to enjoy the view of each as a sea captain would – from the water. Please understand that some of the structures have been moved to sites different from their original locations. I did my best in these situations to give you the best perspective (from the water) of those lighthouses.

Included in today’s display are some of my personal favorites from varied photo outings on or near the Chesapeake Bay, bridges, sunrises, wildlife and monuments. Each one of these represents another wonderful moment for me, doing what I love. Working with my camera and lens.
